Instructional Style and Strategies
-
I believe that as a teacher it is important to have learning strategies that will be most beneficial to your students understanding. All students are different and not every student is going to understand the same learning strategy. I will make sure to use differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate for the different kinds of learners. I also want my students to know that I care and I am always here if they need to ask any questions. I want to have a great student-teacher relationship. I want the students in my class to not only be great students, but also great people. I will be implementing life skills throughout the year as well.

Different strategies that I will use in my classroom is:
-
Group work
-
Group Discussions, projects, etc.
-
-
Different uses of technology
-
Kahoot Games
-
Smartboard

Three formative assessments that I would like to look into using for my future classroom would be one minute papers, exit tickets, and worksheets. I chose each of these assessments because I believe they would be a good and effective way to collect the information needed to gain more information on the strengths and weaknesses of my students.
-
One minute papers would be given after I finish talking about a specific topic or section and the students will be given only one minute to briefly explain what they just learned.
-
Exit tickets would be given before the end of the class and the students will be given about 5-8 minutes to complete them. Below is an example what the exit ticket will look like.
-
Worksheets are another great form of formative assessment because it is independent work that you can see where the students are at in there understanding. I will either give these worksheets as homework for the student to take home or I will have them work on them in class. Below is an example of a worksheet.
